Special Assignments for Denver Mayors
Audit oversight – assigned by Mayor to determine whether agencies were taking appropriate corrective actions regarding unfavorable audit findings. (2000-2001)

Inquiry into Denver Coroner’s Office – Organize a systematic assessment of problems in the Coroner’s Office, engage appropriate experts, assist in developing corrective action plans, and present results to the Board of Health and Hospitals and to the public. (1990)

Planning and implementation of the 1989 bond program – Provide staff support to Mayor’s Office regarding development of the bond program, develop project scheduling and tracking aids, progress reporting, and start-up work for the new bond project office. (1989-1991)

Lobbyist for Denver at State Legislature
– Full-time assignment on loan. For two legislative sessions, represented Denver to the Colorado General Assembly on issues of municipal concern, including health care, human services, legal, budget, and other areas. (1982-1984)

Director of Citizen Participation for Community Development Block Grant – Full-time assignment on loan. Part of interdisciplinary team to plan the first round of HUD grants for community development ($44 million over three years). (1974-1975)
